RM7.3m for new water pipe project

DALAT: The state government has allocated RM7.3 million  for a water pipe project to replace an old water pipeline in the district.

The project is being carried out in phases, disclosed Minister of Welfare, Women and Community Wellbeing Datuk Hajah Fatimah Abdullah at Kpg Sg Kut Muara Kaul Festival  2017 over the weekend.

The project is scheduled to be completed in September this year. Its first phase  started in February.

From 2015, two water pumps at Lebrasau Water Intake had been replaced to improve the water production including the construction of a water treatment plant with a bigger capacity of 3.4MLD.

At the function, Fatimah also approved  a  Minor Rural Project (MRP) allocation totaling of RM45,000 for the village.

Also present were Dalat District Officer Kueh Lei Poh, Kpg Sg Kut Muara Kaul Festival organising chairman Penghulu  Martina Jenula Bt Tong, Dalat information officer Khalid Aini and local community leaders.

Various activities including health screening were held at the festival.
