TEDxKenyalang to be held at BCCK on November 25

KUCHING: TEDxKenyalang will be held at Borneo Convention Centre Kuching (BCCK) on November 25 with the theme ‘Be The Best’.

This year’s two-day conference is expected to attract over 500 national and international delegates, and will see many uniquely talented speakers from all walks of life sharing their stories.

Managed by Place Borneo Sdn Bhd, this year’s theme seeks to explore how the various aspects of our world are distinctively interconnected.

Minister of Tourism, Arts, Culture, Youth and Sports Datuk Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah will be the guest of honour.

Among the rewoned speakers for this year’s TEDxKenyalang is Kuching-born, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Tune Talk Jason Lo.

With Jason at the helms of Tune Talk, the award-winning telecommunications corporation is ever-growing and now has over 1.5 million loyal subscribers because of their attractive data packages and call rates.

“Thanks to Jason’s guidance and fresh new ideas, Tune Talk stays relevant to their target market, the youth, by connecting to them through supporting and creating events in art, music and sport,” disclosed Chairman of Koperasi Belia Inovatif Sarawak (KOBIS) who is also Curator of TEDxKenyalang Zaiwin Kassim in a press conference at Baitulmakmur in Petra Jaya here, yesterday.

He added, other confirmed speakrs for this year’s TEDxKenyalang were Prof. Mushtak Al-Atabi, Alvin Wee, Magdalene Muuk, Aziph Mustapha, Sada Borneo music brand, Dr. M. Abdullah Zaidell, Anthony Sebastian and Nilam Sari.

Shaped by their experience and ideas, the  speakers will explore paradigms that will inspire, empower and motivate participants to embrace new perspectives.

To celebtrate TEDxKenyalang, music enthusiasts and musicians are welcomed to join a songwriting-composing competition following the theme, ‘Be The Best’.

The winner will perform live at TEDxKenyalang, on top of winning RM3,000 cash.
