BINTULU: Datuk Joseph Entulu Belaun (pic) has denied ever saying that Malay elected representatives had expressed interest in wanting to switch to Parti Sarawak Bersatu (PSB).

The former minister in the Prime Minister’s Department, who hopped to PSB after he was given the boot by Parti Rakyat Sarawak (PRS), came out with the rebuttal when contacted by New Sarawak Tribune’s sister paper Suara Sarawak yesterday.

“I never said there are Malay YBs wanting to join PSB. I only said there were some Malays who wanted to meet up with me,” he said when asked to comment on the statement that went viral on social media.

Entulu was said to have made the statement in his speech at the closing of a Gawai function organised by the PSB Sri Aman branch last Saturday.

He also denied making any statement on the racial composition of Yayasan Sarawak staff members.

“I said no Chinese and Dayaks were appointed as board members of Yayasan Sarawak,” he added.

PSB is a splinter party of Sarawak United People’s Party (SUPP) following a protracted leadership crisis.

The party is currently led by Datuk Seri Wong Soon Koh, who recently quit his Cabinet positions.
