KUALA LUMPUR: Individuals who are fully vaccinated against Covid-19 and complete with a booster dose will no longer be required to undergo a home quarantine if they come into close contact with a positive case, starting March 1.

Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin said they must be asymptomatic and test negative on Day 1 and Day 3 using RTK-Ag self-test kits.

“If they test positive for the virus, they have to report on MySejahtera and undergo self-isolation. Otherwise, it will be business as usual for them.”

“If they are showing symptoms, they must undergo self-isolation for five days,” he said at a press conference yesterday.

Previously, those with booster shots were required to go through five days of quarantine, regardless of their symptoms o

Meanwhile, those who have not received their booster dose, they are required to undergo home quarantine for five days instead of seven days (previously), even if they are not showing symptoms.

Khairy said those who are unvaccinated or partially (one dose only) vaccinated must quarantine for seven days if they come in close contact with Covid-19 patients, compared to 10 days previously, even if asymptomatic.
