KUCHING: United People’s Party (UPP) secretary-general George Lo  yesterday confirmed that  the party had not made any formal application yet to join  Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS).

“No, we have not made any formal application to join GPS at this stage. I think  we should await the approval of our new name and new logo. Let the rebranding exercise be completed first.   I don’t think there is any rush at this point of time.

“As the Chief Minister said, let’s cross the bridge when we come to it. Or let’s take things one step at a time,” Lo told the media after he and UPP‘s executive secretary Margaret Lo submitted the party’s application to change its name and new logo at the Registrar of Societies (RoS) Sarawak office here, yesterday.
