KUCHING: Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) Satok Service Centre, which had been given a facelift, was relaunched by Satok State Assemblyman Datuk Amar Abang Haji Johari Tun Openg on Wednesday night.
The service centre is now equipped with more facilities and has bigger space to allow Satok constituents to interact with their people’s representative as the centre is also linked to his office.
“Satok area is rapidly developing. Since the compound of the service centre is quite big, about a quarter of an acre, Satok community and party members can conduct activities and meetings with more comfort and conducive environment.
“The centre is equipped with many ICT facilities such as the LED screen and the total cost for the facelift is RM200,000,” Johari, who is also Chief Minister, told a press conference.
He also said that PBB and the state Barisan Nasional’s (BN) election machinery are ready to face the general election.
Johari said that even though there was no official announcement yet by the Prime Minister on the election date, Sarawak is ready for the general election.
“There will definitely be new faces as some incumbents have already indicated that they wanted to withdraw due to health reasons. We will announce them on a later date,” he said.
