MIRI: A pet dog’s incessant barks alerted a woman to a cobra in her house compound at Taman Delight 1A here yesterday.
The woman, aged 50, was inside her kitchen when she heard her dog barking non-stop.
When she opened the door, she was shocked to see a one meter long cobra hissing at her dog in the compound.
Terrified, she waste no time in alerting the Civil Defence Force (APM).
Four APM personnel were sent to the house following the resident’s call at 6.53 pm.
The venomous snake was caught and removed safely from the house and released back to its natural habitat far from the residential area.
