MIRI: Petronas, through its corporate social responsibility arm Yayasan Petronas, delivered 23 ventilators to four hospitals in Sarawak.

The hospitals are Sarawak General Hospital (SGH) in Kuching, Pusat Jantung HUS Samarahan, Bintulu Hospital and Miri Hospital.

Yayasan Petronas also donated 9,021 bottles of hand sanitisers, 15,000 face masks and 14,340 personal protective equipment (PPE) gowns to the four, as well as Sibu Hospital and Sarikei Hospital.

“The donations are part of Yayasan Petronas’ RM20mil contribution in the form of critical medical equipment and supplies for hospitals in Malaysia.

“They are aligned with our continuous effort to create a positive social impact by ensuring the good health and wellbeing of the people, said Petronas Carigali Sdn Bhd-Sarawak Oil senior general manager Morris Mail in a statement.

The contribution from Yayasan Petronas is being carried out in stages in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and the National Disaster Management Agency.

In early May, Yayasan Petronas contributed seven intensive care unit beds to SGH, Sarikei Hospital, Sibu Hospital, Bintulu Hospital and Miri Hospital.
