KUCHING: Pos Malaysia strives to remain competitive in the fast changing market conditions while at the same time meet the Universal Service Obligation’s mandate on postal mail
services.

Pos Malaysia Group chief executive officer Syed Md Najib Syed Md Noor said, “We are extremely grateful to be given an opportunity to celebrate this global annual milestone which highlights our biggest assets, our people who have tirelessly served our customers in delivering postal services across the country.

“I would like to specifically acknowledge all our (Pos Malaysia) staff for their unwavering commitment and dedication.”

His speech text was read by Pos Malaysia state manager Bong Tung Hui.

He added that Pos Malaysia would remain steadfast in its effort to improve the postal operations’ efficiency through innovation and digitalisation.

“Today Pos Malaysia marks its World Post Day (WPD) Golden Jubilee in an elaborate manner throughout the country,” he noted.

The WPD is celebrated annually on Oct 9 by the Universal Postal Union (UPU) since 1969 marking a significant milestone for postal services across the globe. The celebration highlights the importance and contribution of postal services to the global community as well as honour the postal workforce worldwide.
