KCFC players will be wearing two new colours for the new season

KUCHING: The Kuching City FC (KCFC) players have been given a renewed boost to in their mission to perform well for the Premier League 2022 campaign which will begin next March.

This is attributed to their new jerseys with two different colours, namely black and white launched at a leading city hotel here Friday night.

The white coloured one will be used for the home matches while the black coloured jersey is meant for their away matches.

State’s Minister for Youth, Sports and Entrepreneur Development Datuk Seri Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah was given the honour to officiate at the launching event on Friday night.

KCFC chairman Fazzrudin Abdul Rahman when speaking at the ceremony hoped that the use of the new jersey would be a double boost to his players.

“We really hope that this new jersey will inspire the players in the 2022 Premier League campaign.

“At the same time, we hope to realise the dream of the management so that the squad run by an experienced coach (Irfan Bakti Abu Salim) would be able place themselves to play in the Super League for the 2023 season,” said Fazzrudin.

Earlier, he also thanked the sponsors for the support given to his team.

“We would like to thank the Sarawak state government, especially the Sarawak Ministry of Youth and Sports and all the sponsors who have given their cooperation and support to us this season,” he added.

Also present at the event was the acting chief executive officer (CEO) of Sarawak Sports Corporation (SSC), Semawi Mohammad, deputy president of the Sarawak Football Association (FAS), Mohd. Saif Jubaidi, FAS secretary-general Pazza Dan, coaches as well as players and representatives of sponsors.
