MIRI: The Sarawak Journalists Association (FSJA) in collaboration with Panaja Liansin Trading Sdn Bhd and Tong Seng Huat Rice Trading Sdn Bhd, successfully organised a bubur lambuk (porridge) programme and Sarawak Media Ramadan contribution with Miri city mayor Adam Yii.

According to a press release issued yesterday, Yii expressed his gratitude to the organisers for their efforts in promoting unity and harmony in Sarawak through their collaborative initiatives.

He highlighted the importance of non-governmental organisations (NGOs) and private companies in contributing positively to the community and how the state government highly appreciates such efforts.

“Companies like Liansin Trading Sdn Bhd and Tong Seng Huat Rice Trading Sdn Bhd are recognised for their corporate social responsibility (CSR) by collaborating with the Sarawak media to assist the community.

“The role of media practitioners in Sarawak who not only fulfil their daily tasks but also actively engage in community service to help those in need,” he said.

Yii gives out goody bags to attendees of the programme.

The Sarawak media was lauded for positively showcasing the services and various efforts carried out for the people of Sarawak, particularly in raising awareness and advocating for education through their coverage.

Yii, who is also the Pujut assemblyman, praised the various NGOs and private companies that come forward to provide assistance to the less fortunate in the community without discrimination.

Highlighting the importance of unity among the diverse communities in Sarawak, he said that it is a way of life in Sarawak where people of different races, religions, and cultures can live in a harmonious and united atmosphere.

He commended Sarawak as a shining example of unity and harmony in the country, where people of diverse backgrounds help each other whenever needed.

The bubur lambuk programme and Sarawak Media Ramadan contribution organised by FSJA, Panaja Liansin Trading Sdn Bhd, Tong Seng Huat Rice Trading Sdn Bhd, and the Miri Branch of the Single Mothers’ Association of Sarawak were successful in promoting unity and harmony in Sarawak while providing assistance to the community.

The event was attended by representatives from various organisations, media practitioners, and members of the community.
