MIRI: A 2.5kg python with a swollen belly was caught inside a duck coop yesterday morning in Kampung Pengkalan Lutong after it was believed to have swallowed a fully grown duck.
The two-metre long reptile was spotted by the owner around 10.38am when she was on her way to feed the ducks.
Terrified, she immediately called up Miri Civil Defence Force (APM) for assistance.
It took APM less than 10 minutes to capture the reptile which was coiled up inside the coop.
“The python was all swollen and could not move much in the coop,” said Miri APM officer Captain (PA) Mohd Hazle Shah Abdul Hamid.
