KUCHING: The demise of Queen Elizabeth II, Britain’s longest- serving monarch, is a great loss to the world.

The queen, passed away on September 8 at Balmoral, Scotland aged 96 after reigning for 70 years.

A void of presence indeed will be felt by people around the world following the Queen’s death.

New Sarawak Tribune met with some members of the public for their comments.

The queen’s death has an impact on the world, especially British citizens.

She had, after all, lived and ruled for a long time.

I definitely think it is a big loss. She was a very important person.
Now, there is a king instead of a queen and I heard they have also changed the British national anthem.

I think Queen Elizabeth had a lot of impact on the world. She was not only the queen of England but the head of state of many former Commonwealth countries. Now King Charles III has taken over the throne. Hopefully, he will perform his duty well.

Since Queen Elizabeth was also the head of state of many former Commonwealth countries, I hope her death will not affect the economic stability of these countries.
