RM303,742 allocated for roads’ upgrading

DARO: The State government through the Rural Transformation Project (RTP) has allocated RM303,742 to upgrade tar-sealed roads at two mosques in Kampung Tekajong here.

The roads upgrading project of the new mosque is worth RM171, 618 while the old mosque road is costing a total of RM132,124.

The two projects were listed under the RTP which was submitted by the Assistant Minister of Cooperative Affairs, who is also the N.42 Semop State Assemblyman Abdullah Saidol.

Earlier, the presentation ceremony was held between Mukah Public Works Department (PWD) and selected companies to implementing the projects through ballot session at Kampung Tekajong, yesterday.

The company is the Menara Enterprise which responsible for the upgrading of the old mosque road and Lubok Sampan Enterprise for the new mosque road.

The brief ceremony was officiated at by Awang Dasuki Awang Jol from Mukah Public Works Department.

Also present were Sarawak Administrative Officer of Daro District Office, M. Mazihi and village heads.
