SEMATAN: The pontoon worth RM5 million proposed for construction under Projek Rakyat 2019 here would be constructed soon.
Tanjong Datu assemblywoman Datuk Amar Jamilah Anu said once the construction work commenced, project completion would be expected in six months.
She disclosed this during her walkabout and handing over of projects to contractor Metrobrite Engineering Sdn Bhd at Sematan town on Thursday.
Jamilah said development projects planned for her constituency were not confined to Sematan but also other areas including Telok Melano.
She cited the RM5 million worth of Anjung Usahawan Telok Melano project and the upgrading of Kampung Telok Melano road and Telok Serabang also valued at RM5 million.
Other projects include a RM200,000 environmental-friendly public toilet, also in Telok Melano.
“All these projects, which are under the People’s Project, are in line with the state government’s vision towards making Lundu a nature beach city,” she said.
