PADAWAN: The Greater Kuching Coordinated Development Agency (GKCDA), has allocated RM5 million for the construction of a farm road linking Kampung Danu with Kampung Bengoh.

Mambong assemblyman Datuk Dr. Jerip Susil said the upcoming road is expected to invigorate the local economy, particularly benefiting coffee farmers by improving access and transportation.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of Kampung Danu Multipurpose Hall yesterday (March 3), he pointed out Kampung Danu’s potential as an emerging tourist attraction, with a distinctive river, the pristine Pantai Baru Kenangan, and an existing suspension bridge, all of which contribute to its appeal.

He encouraged the community to preserve these natural wonders and to actively participate in promoting tourism.

In addition to the road project, Dr. Jerip announced the approval of a RM30,000 Minor Rural Project (MRP) fund to support the Village Development and Security Committee (JKKK) in repairing the gravity water supply system and in organising annual community events.
