BAU: Villagers and farmers in the Ruh-Puluoh-Sibuok-Otak Limotak area to Sungai Situ, Kampung Stenggang, can now commute to their farms with the completion of an agricultural road in the area which was upgraded under the Rural Transformation Project (RTP).

Opar assemblyman Billy Sujang said the 620-metre long agricultural road with three culverts costing a total of RM237,309 would benefit 48 families from Kampung Stenggang, Kampung Pidilam Stenggang and Kampung Sepadah.

According to him, the total distance from Ruh Puluoh to Sungai Situ is approximately 2.2 kilometres.

“Accordingly, the additional allocation for the construction of the second phase will be forwarded to the relevant ministry for approval,” he said.

Billy said the construction of the agricultural road could help the farmers to facilitate in transporting agricultural produce and fertilizer to their farms.

This would indirectly help in increasing the agricultural yield and subsequently, increases the income and economy of the locals here.
