KUCHING: The Sarawak Energy has launched its PUSTAKA@SARAWAKENERGY, a digital resource centre as an important online platform that will enable easy access to a vast repository of knowledge in the form of digital content and information for its staff.

Sarawak Energy Group chief executive officer Datuk Sharbini Suhaili said the digital resource centre is another step forward on Sarawak Energy digitalisation and continuous improvement journeys, driving knowledge acquisition and innovative thinking within the organisation through a new, digital learning platform.

“Through this, we will be able to bolster the strong progressive digital and online learning culture that we have cultivated and nurtured as we reaffirmed our commitment to Talent Management Excellence and a High Performance Culture,” he said.

He added that PUSTAKA@SARAWAKENERGY has been integrated into the existing internal online resource centre, eResources which incorporates all of Sarawak Energy’s online resources into a single platform.

“The PUSTAKA@SARAWAKENERGY webpage and eResources portal have been accessible for all employees since 30 September.

“To date, we have a diverse range of learning materials from eight different resources on our eResources platform,” he said in his speech during the launching of PUSTAKA@SARAWAKENERGY at Menara Sarawak Energy here on Thursday.

He also said that Sarawak Energy aspires to become a digital utility by 2025.
“The COVID-19 pandemic has not just demonstrated the importance of a digital infrastructure but also a digital savvy workforce.

“We were able to continue to operate by embracing the technologies in the way we do our business and manage our people.

“As part of this digital transformation, we have changed the way our people learn – moving from conventional classroom-based events to online self-study and subscription courses,” he told.

Sharbini said the shift to digital learning is aligned with and supported by other Learning & Development efforts and better engages learners across Sarawak Energy.

“Through these efforts, we aim to empower our people to have greater flexibility in planning their own learning, enabling continuously upskilling while balancing other personal and professional responsibilities.
