KUCHING: Sarawak’s Ministry of Education, Innovation and Talent Development is keen, and ready, to work with Singapore’s Ministry of Education to enhance the quality of education here.

This was discussed during minister Datuk Roland Sagah Wee Inn’s working visit to Singapore and over a dinner hosted by Singapore’s Minister of Education, Chan Chung Sing.

Joining the discussion were deputy ministers Datuk Francis Harden Hollis and Dr Annuar Rapaee, and permanent secretary Datuk Kameri Affandi, among others, from the Sarawak delegation.

The programmes will cover student exchanges, teacher competency, development programmes, experience sharing visits by Singaporean teachers to Sarawak and programmes to nurture interests and talents in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM).

Earlier, the Sarawak delegation also paid a courtesy call on the representative from Bio Medical Research Council (BMRC) and Bioprocessing Technology Institute (BTI), which come under the purview of the Agency for Science, Technology and Research, Singapore, also known as A*Star.
