Sarawakians advised to prepare for potential rainfall during Aidilfitri

KUCHING: As Sarawakians prepare to celebrate Hari Raya Aidilfitri, weather forecasters have issued warnings about potential rainfall during the first two days of the festivity.


The Malaysian Meteorological Department (METMalaysia) has forecasted rain and thunderstorms throughout the morning, afternoon, and evening on April 10 and 11 in the state.


In light of this, METMalaysia has advised the public to take necessary precautions to ensure their safety during the celebrations.


“Plan your journey carefully to ensure a safe celebration of Hari Raya Aidilfitri,” stated a Facebook post from METMalaysia on Tuesday (April 9).


Additionally, the public are urged to stay updated on the latest weather updates through the myCuaca app, Rakan MET and the official METMalaysia website.
