KUALA LUMPUR: A working paper on Sarawak’s new economic approach will be presented at an event organised by the Temasek Group in Singapore next week.

Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg said the Sarawak government’s new approach in managing its economy has attracted people from outside Malaysia.

He said the presentation would inform them about the emphasis on technology and environmental sustainability as a new economic resource of the Sarawak government.

“Sarawak is moving towards a hydrogen economy, which is in line with the use of technology as well as an economy based on environmental sustainability.

“Through our new economic planning, we aim to be the leading state in a more sustainable economic management by 2030 and beyond,” he said at the breaking of fast ‘Sungkei Ngan Abang Jo’ event at the Four Seasons Hotel here, last Saturday.

Abang Johari pointed out that the transition to the new economy would benefit the people in the state, especially the future generations.
