SARIKEI: The Sarikei Integrated Administration Centre (IAC) project, the only green-concept building project here, is currently under construction at a cost of RM400 million and it will be equipped with modern facilities.

State Secretary Datuk Amar Jaul Samion, on Wednesday (Nov 3), visited the project site and was given a briefing.

This was part of his working visit here which was warmly welcomed by Repok assemblyman Datuk Seri Huang Tiong Sii and Sarikei Resident Felicia Tan Ya Hua.

Before stopping by the Sarikei IAC project site, he visited the Sarikei District Office and Sarikei Resident’s Office. He also attended a special meeting on Rural Transformation Programme and Project Rakyat in Sarikei division.

During his working visit, he also surveyed the service counters of the Sarikei District Office and Sarikei Resident’s Office.

On a separate occasion, Huang attended a simple ceremony to hand over RM15,500 in Minor Rural Project funds to associations, organisations and clubs here.

Among the recipients were Repok Badminton Club, Che Shan Fu Temple, SK Sarikei Parent-Teacher Association, Royal Malaysian Customs Women Association Sarikei Branch and others.
