KUCHING: The Scout movement is an excellent platform to hone teenagers’ skills.

In highlighting this, Tupong assemblyman Fazzrudin Abdul Rahman said all scout members must not only equip themselves with scouting knowledge but also other life skills.

“The necessary life skills are needed to suit the current economic situations such as entrepreneurship,” he said at the closing ceremony of the Roombank Bundles and Foodfest 2.0 programme held at Majma Mall recently.

The programme was organised by Roombank Event Company in collaboration with Matang District Scout Council, Og Bundle Legend, Kasutology, Star Audio One and One Sound & Light.

The event also saw Fazzrudin presented the 40 kilometre Youth Scout Expedition Badge as part of the activities of the Scout Founder’s Day Celebration which was celebrated on Feb 22 and the Kedah Scouts 100th year Brotherhood Jamboree Participation Certificates to 18 senior scouts from several districts.

Also present were Deputy Prime Minister’s special officer Syed Zyed Wan Asnawi, Sarawak Scout Programme Commissioner Abang Zulfikar Abang Zaini, Matang District Scout Commissioner Abdul Rahim Abol, Matang Distirct Scout Council Chairman Sabri Sahak and treasurer cum programme organising chairman Khairuzie Bolhassan.
