KUCHING: Malaysians looking to enter Sarawak are no longer required to apply for entry through EnterSarawak effective Friday (Jan 14).

The Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) in announcing the revised procedure, said this was applicable to Malaysians who do not have a history of travelling abroad within 14 days prior to entering Sarawak.

It said the revised procedure also applied to foreigners who have been in the country for more than two weeks.

However, it is still mandatory to fill up the e-health declaration form upon entering the state.

“Other conditions such as having complete Covid-19 vaccination are still required and will be checked while at the airport,” SDMC said in its daily statement on Wednesday (Jan 12).

It said 23 new Covid-19 cases were also recorded on Wednesday.

“Of the total, eight cases were asymptomatic while 15 cases had mild symptoms.”

It noted that Samarahan and Betong topped the list of daily infections with six new cases registered in each district.
