Sedidik family wins top marks for services

KUCHING: Teachers and staff of Sedidik Sdn Bhd have provided excellent services to help empower early childhood education in Sarawak.

Five awards were thus presented in conjunction with the Sedidik Excellent Awards Ceremony 2022 held at the Waterfront Hotel on Saturday night (Feb 25).

The Outstanding Educator Award was divided according to the four zones, namely from the Kuching Zone it was awarded to Nur Azah Madli from Santubong Kindergarten; Maria Olga William Poro (Batu Gong) and Shafaridah Saibon (Unimas).

Sibu Zone saw Hasline Enting from Saratok Kindergarten, Bintang Jampi (Bougainvilla) and Anita Suni (Datu Hilir) receiving their respective awards.

Meanwhile, from Mukah Zone were Sujana Senhji from Igan Kindergarten, Mariani Mahdzar (Mukah) and Sorayah Mardi (Balingian).

For Miri Zone, the awards went to Abdah Bakri from Tadika Sedidik Pujut Tanjung Batu, Narhaiyati Dua (Miri) and Hanim Eni from (Pangkalan Lutang).

The Best Non-Educator Staff Award – Middle Management Group (Supervisor/Executive) was won by Hayai Sapiie from Mukah Zone operations, Mohd Nizam Manterang (administrative department) and Masnora Jobli (programme implementation sector).

For the support staff group, the awards were given to Siti Nurbainun Othman from Taska Kompleks Kebajikan Dalat, Molly Peter (Taska Sedidik UTC) and Mohd Rozad Harszhan Nordin (Administrative Division).

Awards for the Best Sedidik Centre in the Nursery category were awarded to Taska Sedidik Unimas, Taska Sedidik Kompleks Kebajikan Dalat, Taska Sedidik Samariang, Taska Sedidik UTC and Taska Sedidik Miri.

In addition to the kindergarten category, the awards went to Santubong Kindergarten, Bandaria PPR Kindergarten, Balingian Kindergarten, Samariang Kindergartens and Igan Kindergarten.

The Exemplary Educator Award was presented to Azila Kamis @ Sudong from Taska Sedidik Jepak ILL in Bintulu and the award for Best Zone went to the Bintulu Zone.

At the event Minister of Women, Children and Community Welfare Datuk Seri Fatimah Abdullah said she believed the educators and staff who received the Outstanding Award were excellent not only in 2022, but in previous years.

“Thus, I would like to express my appreciation to all the people of Sedidik for their concerted efforts in ensuring that Sedidik continues to lead early childhood education and development in Sarawak,” she said.

General Manager of Sedidik Sarawak Ayub Dahari hoped their excellent services and performances will be a catalyst to improve the quality and quality of work.

“I also hope that all Sedidik employees will always have a competitive attitude, never get tired of gaining knowledge and share experiences to improve the quality of their work,” he stressed.

Also present were Deputy Minister Datuk Rosey Yunus, Head of the Early Childhood Education Division of the ministry and Board of Directors member of Sedidik Salina Bujang, and other representatives.
