KUALA LUMPUR: Serba Dinamik Holdings Bhd will become a premier partner for Malaysia Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai, to be held from Oct 1, 2021 to March 31, 2022.

In a statement today, Serba Dinamik said the synergistic partnership will support and fortify Malaysia’s objective to promote its technologies and innovation capabilities to the global audience at the world expo.

The global expo is held once every five years, and this year’s event, themed “Connecting Minds, Creating the Future”, will see participation from 190 countries, including Malaysia.

The mega event aims to promote global cooperation, innovation, technological development, human progress and education, and this year’s edition marks the first time that the event is held in the Middle East.

According to Malaysian Green Technology and Climate Change Centre (MGTC) chief executive officer Shamsul Bahar Mohd Nor, being a premier sponsor will allow Serba Dinamik’s brand to have visibility throughout the expo’s duration.

“Its sponsorship will also ensure the success of Malaysia’s National Day event on Jan 8, 2022, when the spotlight will be on Malaysia.

“We have various activities lined up to provide visitors and guests the opportunity to immerse themselves in our culture,” he said.

MGTC is the implementing agency for Malaysia’s participation at the expo, while the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation is the lead ministry.

Meanwhile, Serba Dinamik chief executive officer Datuk Dr Mohd Abdul Karim Abdullah said through its involvement, the company hopes to encourage Malaysian companies to leverage Expo 2020 as the best platform to access global markets and boost their business growth.

“Expo 2020 Dubai, which is hosted by the United Arab Emirates, also presents an opportunity for Malaysian businesses to look to the Middle East region with its diverse, robust and dynamic economy,” he said.

The Malaysia Pavilion will host weekly thematic trade and business programmes which will encompass more than 10 industry verticals, including education, halal industry and Islamic finance. – Bernama
