Seven nabbed for fighting at bistro

KOTA SAMARAHAN: Police have apprehended nine suspects over their involvement in a fight at a bistro here. The fight was reported to have occurred at 2.05am on last Saturday (Oct 23).

Kota Samarahan district police chief DSP Sudirman Kram said initial investigation revealed that the fight had happened in front of a bistro and a man was injured during the incident.

“The injured man was stabbed with a sharp object or weapon and has been taken to Sarawak General Hospital to receive treatment,” he said.

Sudirman said that two main suspects of the incident were apprehended by the police at Mile 7 area in Padawan.

The incident is being investigated under Section 326 of the Penal Code for rioting.
