Six injured in Asajaya accident

ASAJAYA: Six men sustained injuries in a two-vehicle collision along Jalan Ulu Jemukan yesterday (Sept 26).

The accident, which happened around 6 pm, involved a Perodua Viva with five passengers, including the driver and the driver of a Perodua Kenari r.

A spokesman for the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) said firemen from Asajaya station were despatched to the scene promptly.

On arrival, they found that the victims had been rescued out from their vehicles by passers-by.

The Civil Defence Force (APM), which also responded to the emergency, provided initial treatment for the injured victims before taking them to Asajaya health clinic.

The extent of their injuries was not known.

The team took precautionary measures by disconnecting the batteries to prevent any fire ignition at the scene.

APM ended their operation at 6.56 pm.
