DEBAK: Covid-19 self-test kits have been handed over to SK Nanga Gayau, Debak for students to conduct self-testing in line with the new standard operating procedure (SOP) for the reopening of schools.

According to a report by the Sarawak Public Communications Unit (Ukas), the handover programme held on Wednesday (Jan 26) was organised by Bukit Saban Constituency Service Centre.

The kits were handed over by Penghulu Peter George Labut, representing Bukit Saban assemblyman and Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas, to a representative from SK Nanga Gayau Debak, Hosin Pandi.

The contribution was also aimed at reducing the risk of Covid-19 infection, which is still plaguing the country at this time even though the number of cases in Sarawak has shown a significant reduction lately.

On another matter, the Bukit Saban Constituency Service Centre also presented a wheelchair to a resident of Rumah Pau Penunus Debak on Wednesday.

The handover was also done by George, representing Uggah, to Edmund Luat Jimbai.
