SOP for fully vaccinated people soon

Date:

KUCHING: The standard operating procedure (SOP) guidelines for fully vaccinated people will be released as soon as they are approved by the Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) after obtaining advice from medical experts.

SDMC reaffirms that the existing SOPs are still in force until the SOP Phase 3 of the National Recovery Plan (NRP) had been gazetted.

“This is because Sarawak takes into account the benefit of getting fully vaccinated and welcomes the decision to facilitate the mental and physical health of the people as well as the country’s economic activities,” SDMC said on Monday (Aug 9).

The decision was in line with the recent announcement made by the Prime Minister on Sunday (Aug 8) regarding people who are fully vaccinated.

On another note, SDMC declared enhanced movement control orders (EMCO) at five localities.

In Bintulu District, the Bintulu Fire and Rescue Department Quarters and a rental room on Six Two Street Store, No. 14 Columbia Shop House, began EMCO on Aug 8 and this will run until Aug 21.

EMCO will be enforced at two longhouses in Tatau District, namely Rh Ngumbang Ajum, Nanga Sidang and Rh Kilut Along, Sungai Selitut, Jalan Tatau-Bintulu on the same dates whereas Kampung Biau in Simunjan District will undergo EMCO from Aug 10 to 23.

Meanwhile, EMCO has been extended until Aug 23 for Kampung Tanjung Tuang in Samarahan.

Eight localities in Saratok, Beluru, Bintulu, Simunjan, and Asajaya districts ended EMCO on Monday.

They are Rumah Jamu, Peligong, Sebetan and Rumah Pantan, Ulu Senulau (Saratok) as well as Rumah Suring Jelian, Sg Bain, Tinjar and SK Sg Bain, Tinjar (Beluru).

Two localities that ended EMCO in Bintulu District are Rumah Sewa Segala, Jalan Bintulu-Miri and a rental room located above a car wash shop.

Kampung Kanchong Baru, Gedong in Simunjan District and Kampung Semera Hilir, Semera Masjid, Semera Lot dan Semera Hulu, Sadong Jaya in Asajaya also ended EMCO on the same date.
