KUCHING: Sarawak recorded seven more Covid-19 positive cases, bringing the total of positive cases to 58 since the first positive case was reported on Mar 13.
State Disaster Management Committee chairman Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas said all the new cases are being treated at Sarawak General Hospital.
“All of them are from Kuching ― four are from the ijtimak cluster, two are from church cluster and one is still under investigation.
“The Sarawak General Hospital laboratory is working hard to complete all outstanding laboratory tests. Of the 714 total Person Under Investigation (PUI), 58 cases were positive,” said Uggah in a press conference held at Wisma Bapa Malaysia yesterday.
The Deputy Chief Minister also announced that the committee decided that all fast food chain operators (KFC, Pizza Hut, Sugar Bun, McDonalds) including drive-thrus will be closed at 8pm, this include all supermarket chains.
However, all convenience stores such as 7-Eleven, KK Mart and petrol stations shall operate as usual. These instructions are effective today.
