Sarawak United FC 1 fall to PDRM 0-5 in a friendly match

KUCHING: Sarawak United FC 1 went down 0-5 to PDRM Super League team in a friendly at Padang Pulapol on Sunday.

SUFC 1 were led by sensational import striker Amri Yahyah along with three foreign import candidates, including Hudson Dias.

According to a spokesman for the SUFC 1 squad, foreign import players are still under review. “We are in the process of forming a team and all players are playing,” he said.

“The pre-season match is quite challenging as we are against two teams from the Super League — PDRM and Felda. “It’s good for our players,” he said.

It was the second friendly match of SUFC 1 1-2 loss against Kuala Lumpur at Cheras Stadium
on Thursday.

In the match, Sarawak’s sole goal was scored by Ashri Chuchu.

Juan Carlos Magro’s side will face another team from Felda United’s 2020 Super League at the Bangi Training Centre on Thursday.

In addition to Amri, two other key players who will be joining SUFC 1 are former Pahang striker Fauzi Roslan and former Selangor player Syukri Azman.

SUFC 1 will be strengthened by former JDT player and former Sarawak player S Chanturu.

The squad will return here on Friday with the hope of completing a roster.

The management is expected to unveil the players and coaching staff by early February. SUFC 1 are set to kick off the Premier League 2020 against Penang in Batu Kawan on March 1.
