MIRI: A police patrol car immediately sped off to Krokop on Monday night after a report was received regarding a suspicious man spotted sleeping in the area with a Samurai sword and a bag by his side.
According to a report lodged, the man was spotted sleeping in the area around midnight with the Samurai sword and a bag by his side.
A worried resident in the area then immediately called his relative who later went to the area with her husband to check.
When the couple arrived at the location, they found the man asleep.
“My husband then slowly approached the man and snatched the Samurai sword as we are worried that he might use the sword to harm people,” said the woman who requested anonymity.
A struggle ensued as the man tried to grab the sword back from the woman’s husband by failed. The man then immediately ran away from the place.
Upon inspection, police found chicken meat and fresh fish inside the bag the man left behind.
Police are still investigating the case.
