Taib donates to the needy, mosques and surau

MUKAH: Head of State Tun Pehin Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud has presented donations to 50 needy persons, three mosques and 46 surau around Mukah and Balingian.

The presentation was done at Masjid Setia Raja here on Sunday (Sep 6).

He had an opportunity to participate in a dialogue session and lunch with community leaders in Sri Mukah. In the morning, he visited the new airport project site.

Taib also went to see the new site of SK Tellian Mukah which could not be used yet. 

The school, a 24-classroom full replacement project, was completed on Dec 26 last year.

After that visit, Taib went to Kampung Teh to see its Sago Liquid Waste Treatment Pilot Plant.

He was on a two-day visit here starting last Saturday (Sep 5). He is scheduled to return to Kuching on September 7.

Also present during his visit were Balingian assemblyman Abdul Yakub Arbi and Tellian assemblymen Yussibnosh Balo.
