MUKAH: Two Rural Transformation Programme (RTP), involving the upgrading of roads in Kampung Judan Hilir and the enhancement of the futsal court at Mukah Catholic Hall, have been completed.

Tellian assemblyman Royston Valentine recently handed over these two finished projects to the respective representatives of the villages.

He mentioned that these two projects were part of last year’s RTP and have now been completed this year.

“Last year, these are among the annual projects under our RTP’s and we have been given grants of RM5 million by the state government for implementing our annual projects in the constituency.

“After this, I will also hold a workshop in early November to review the applications from villages, longhouses, and markets in Mukah for next year’s RTP project,” he said when met by reporters after the handing over of the projects.

Royston also stressed that there are areas within his constituency that still require development and essential infrastructure, particularly in the longhouse regions.

“Thus, in 2024 for RTP we will focus our allocations on related areas,” he said.

Royston expressed his hope that these two completed RTP projects will bring benefits to the local residents in the Tellian area.

He also conveyed his gratitude to the implementing agency of the RTP 2022 project for their meticulous monitoring and coordination in executing these projects.
