MUKAH: Tai Shan Ting Believers Association of Mukah Tua Pek Kong received RM200,000 from Unit for Other Religions (Unifor) on Friday.

Tellian assemblyman Yussibnosh Balo handed over the cheque from the state government through Unifor to the association’s chairman Leong Kin Lee during a dinner in conjunction with the 140th anniversary of Mukah Tua Pek Kong here.

He congratulated the organising committee for successfully organising the dinner which was also attended by guests from Sabah, Brunei, Malaya and Singapore.

Organising chairman Teo Yang Ming in his welcoming address thanked the sponsors for the dinner, and certain individuals as well as related associations from outside Mukah.

A street procession to mark the 140th anniversary of Mukah Tua Pek Kong was held yesterday.
