KUCHING: Narcotics police arrested three local men for engaging in drug-related activities yesterday (April 8).

Kuching district police chief ACP Ahsmon Bajah said the arrest happened in a vehicle by the side of the road at Jalan Datuk Ajibah Abol.

Further investigations found that all the suspects possessed plastic packets containing crystalline substances believed to be syabu, weighing 5.10 grammes, 9.40 grammes of Ketamine, nine Erimin 5 pills weighing 2.58 grammes, and 10 pills of Ecstasy weighing 3.81 grammes, which were all worth RM2,325.

Ahsmon said the three suspects tested positive for benzo, and one of them had previous records of drug-related activity.

“The suspects are being investigated under Section 39A(1) and Section 15(1)(a) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952,” he said.
