KUCHING: The ‘Kampung Sihat’ programme jointly organised by Komuniti Sihat Perkasa Negara (KOSPEN) and Klinik Kesihatan Kota Samaran was recently held at Kampung Merdang Lumut’s multipurpose hall.
Stakan assemblyman Datuk Hamzah Brahim stated that the programme’s objective was to encourage early detection screening activities of chronic diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, and breast cancer among others.
“Programmes like this is very helpful to the local community to identify their health level through early detection screening activities.
“I believe the local community from Kampung Merdang Lumut are pleased to have this programme as it is beneficial for them,” he said.
After officiating at the programme, Hamzah visit the St Peter’s Chapel nearby to meet with the chapel’s members and villagers.
“They had shared recommendations for works of improvements at the chapel areas,” he said.
