Traffic police issues 21 summonses, confiscate seven motorcycles

MUKAH: Police have issued of 21 summonses for various traffic offences in an operation codenamed ‘Ops Motosikal’ last night (Feb 25).

The operation, carried out by the Mukah Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Division, was held around the town from 6 pm to 11 pm.

The offences include not having a driving licence, having an expired driving licence, lacking insurance coverage, not displaying a plate number, not displaying the ‘P’ sticker, not having side mirror, modifying the vehicles and not having a chain cover.

In addition, seven motorcycles were confiscated under Section 60 of the Road Transport Act 1987.

The operation was aimed at preventing illegal racing activities and vehicle modification.
