SIMUNJAN: The confidence and belief of the people will fortify the state government’s endeavours to propel the progress of Sarawak.

The Chief Political Secretary to the Premier, Fazzrudin Abdul Rahman, emphasised that the people of Sarawak should have faith in the Sarawak government, which has implemented various measures and initiatives to ensure that essential facilities and assistance are delivered systematically.

“With this confidence, Sarawak will become a stable state due to the trust and belief of the people and the community in the existing government,” he said.

He said this during his speech at the closing ceremony of the Briefing and Explanation Session on the Post COVID-19 Development Strategy (PCDS) 2030 as part of the Political Secretary Outreach programme held here yesterday (Oct 7).

Fazzrudin, who is also Tupong assemblyman, stated that programmes like these are crucial so that the people can be informed and familiar with the steps taken by the state leadership, allowing them to enjoy the benefits of these efforts.

“If not for these initiatives, it would be difficult for us to ensure that Sarawak’s income increases are distributed to the people throughout Sarawak,” he added.

On the same note, he said that the people of Sarawak are grateful to be led by Sarawak Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg, who has a vision and a far-reaching perspective in ensuring that the state progresses based on new technologies without neglecting the basic necessities needed by the entire population.

Earlier, the programme began with five lectures, namely PCDS 2030, Green Economy, Sarawak Government Initiatives under the Leadership of the Sarawak Premier, and Housing Financial Aid and Housing Rental Assistance Schemes.

It involved a total of 400 participants, consisting of government agencies, non-governmental organisations, council members, community leaders, local village development and security committees (JKKK), and members of the Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB).
