TVS triumphs with 13 awards at KJA

MIRI: TV Sarawak (TVS) made an impressive mark at the 35th Kenyalang Journalism Awards, securing a total of 13 awards.

The notable recipients from TVS include Liew Yu Phin, Ahmad Nasrullah, Muhammad Hafeezur Rahman, Awang Azmil, Febbright Ansie James, Aziz Solleh, Nurul Nur Akmal, Za’im Zharfan, Connie Grace, Chung Siaw Yan, Madeline Dugat, Bigol Sulung, Farah Diayana, Priscilla John, Faitullah Morni, Steward Raymond Dawi, and Odleen Catherny.

Madeline Dugat received a bronze award in the Print and News Portal – Bahasa Iban category for Journalism Award (Feature and News Feature). Muhammad Hafeezur Rahman secured bronze in the Print and News Portal – Bahasa Malaysia category for Sports Reporting, while Farah Diayana Samsuddin achieved silver in the Sustainability Journalism Award.

TVS swept two categories: Sustainability Journalism Award in Television and Online Video. Odleen Catherny, Awang Azmil, Steward Raymond Dawi claimed gold, silver, and bronze respectively.

Similarly, in the Business and Economic Journalism Award category, Muhammad Hafeezur Rahman, Awang Azmil, Connie Grace secured gold, silver, and bronze, respectively.

The network also won gold in the Community Well-being Journalism Award by Febright Ansie James and the Broadcast Journalism Award by Nurul Nur Akmal and Mohamad Salleh, Za’im Zharfan.

Febright Ansie James contributed silver in the Digital Economy Journalism Award.

Other accolades included silver in the Digital Economy Journalism Award by Febright Ansie James and bronze in various categories such as Broadcast Journalism Award and Digital Economy Journalism Award.

Winners of the gold award received RM3,000, silver RM2,000, and bronze RM1,000.

The awards were presented by Transport Minister Datuk Seri Lee Kim Shin, representing Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg.
