MUKAH: The local police found 0.80 gram of drug in a bush at Jalan Kampung Sungai Ragei, here last Sunday afternoon.
It was following a check by a team from the Mukah District Police Headquarters (IPD Mukah) Narcotic Crime Investigation Division on two suspects ina Perodua Kancil car who were behaving in a suspicious manner.
According to Mukah District Police chief DSP Jimmy Anak Panyau after the two suspects were checked, a transparent packet containing crystalline substance believed to be Methamphetamine was found.
“The packet containing the crystalline substance was in fact found by the police in a bush near the road believed to have been thrown by one of the suspects,” he said.
The two suspects aged 23 and 31 are being detained at the police station for further action.
“A urine test conducted on both of them found that they were positive for drug and being investigated under section 12(2) and section 15(1)(a) of the Dangerous Drug Act,1952,” Jimmy said.
