Two injured in car-lorry collision

SARIKEI: Two men sustained injuries after their vehicles collided with each other on Jalan Pasi on Saturday (Jan 2).

The State Fire Department operations centre said they received an emergency call around 12.30pm and immediately despatched firemen from Sarikei fire station to the scene.

Upon arrival, the team found the incident involved a car and a three-tonnes lorry and both vehicles were damaged by the roadside.

It was said that both drivers managed to get out on their own and were attended by paramedics on scene.

The team returned to their station at 12.58pm after ensuring that the situation is under control and safe for other road users.
