UiTM’s Diploma in Herbs passes full accreditation audit

KUCHING: Diploma in Herbs Production Programme offered by Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) Mukah Campus has passed the full accreditation audit with a score of 90.26 percent.

The recent audit programme was conducted virtually involving an interview session with the faculty management, lecturers and students of the programme.

The audit panel concluded that the findings from accreditation documents provided by the faculty and interview sessions has many strengths, free from areas of concern, and involves six opportunities for improvement.

“Congratulations to the Faculty of Plantation and Agrotechnology in UiTM Mukah Campus for the excellent score in full accreditation of the Diploma in Herbs Production Programme.

“Hopefully with the excellent audit score, it will further boost the programme in offering fields related to herbal production in Malaysia,” they said in the statement.

The accreditation audit was led by Professor Dr Rezianna Muhammed Kassim together with two members of the evaluation panel, namely Dr Mohd Rozaiman Aziz and an external panel of assessors namely Fiza Hanif Zainon and Programme Accreditation (Science & Technology) Head Dr Zalilah Abd Aziz from the Institute of Quality & Knowledge Development (InQKA) UiTM Shah Alam.

The programme began with an opening meeting by Academic & International Deputy Rector Professor Dr Firdaus Abdullah who is representing Rector of UiTM Sarawak Branch.

Also present during the opening of the meeting session was Faculty of Plantation and Agrotechnology Dean Professor Dr Mohd Rasdi Zaini, Students Affairs Deputy Rector Professor Dr Mohamad Isa Mohamadin; Industrial Research And Network (PJI) Deputy Rector Professor Dr Abang Zainoren Abang Abdurahman; UiTM Mukah Campus Assistant Rector Dr Khadijah Khalid; Quality Unit Head Yussri Sawani; and UiTM Sarawak Branch Curriculum Affairs and  Academic Quality Assurance Committee Coordinator Siti Nur Ain Seri Masran.
