SARATOK: The funding from the Other Religious Affairs Unit (UNIFOR) is critical to ensuring that the Ji Yuan Shan She Saratok Charitable and Moral Education Association can realise its dream of constructing a unique structure that will become a landmark in Saratok.

Kalaka assemblyman Mohamad Duri stated that the group led by Pemanca Lim Guan Ann expressed a wish to create a facility for all races in Taman Seroja Indah.

“I, along with Krian assemblyman Friday Belik, wholeheartedly support their intentions.

“I am thankful because Pemanca Lim Guan Ann has also provided a four-acre block of land on which to construct the structure later on.

“It is also understood that the construction would be done by the association itself, and I hope that UNIFOR will be able to inject funds to realise the Ji Yuan Shan She Saratok Charitable and Moral Education Association’s dream,” he added.

He made this remark after witnessing the handing over of the agreement document for the land site by Pemanca Lim to the association on December 17.

Mohamad stated his willingness to assist in any way possible in launching the building’s development process following this episode.

“I will support the association’s efforts because the particular building will become a new icon in Saratok, providing facilities for all races such as a multipurpose hall and so on.

“Additionally, I feel that this association, which is funded by public donations, is very active in assisting communities of many ethnicities and religions from Saratok to Krian and Kabong,” he noted.

He also expressed his hope that the Ji Yuan Shan She Saratok Charitable and Moral Education Association will continue to play a role in bringing all ethnicities and races together.

Krian assemblyman Friday Belik, Saratok District Officer Haron Mahidi, and president and chairman of the Che Chuan Khor Simanggang Temenggong Kueh Aik Seng were among those present.
