Upset woman prevented from causing self-harm

BINTULU: The Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) here prevented a distressed woman from causing self-harm at a shopping mall here today.

Firemen from Bintulu station were promptly deployed to Jalan Abang Galau after they were alerted of the incident around 1.25 pm.

It took about 27 minutes for rescuers to successfully persuade the 44-year-old from harming herself on the third floor of the building.

She was later handed over to the police for further action.
