BINTULU: A vehicle burst into flames after it hit the curb on the side of the road.
The State Fire and Rescue operations centre said that it received the emergency call at 8.21am this morning (Aug 20).
“Firefighters from Bintulu Bomba station were despatched to the scene at Jalan Tun Hussein Onn in front of the Bintulu One Stop Centre police station.”
The operations commander said that the vehicle was destroyed but the driver survived; sustaining burn injuries to the thighs and knees.
“The victim was sent to hospital. The operation ended at around 8.40am.”
