KUCHING: A grand wedding reception of the second daughter of Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Parliament and Law) Datuk Seri Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar saw a full house of guests attending it at the Grand Hall of the Borneo Convention Centre Kuching (BCCK) on Saturday night (Sept 10).
The wedding of the newlyweds, Sharifah Nong-Jasima Syed Junaidi and Muhammad Nur Hakeem Yusop, was made merrier with the attendance of Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg and his wife, Datuk Amar Juma’ani Tun Tuanku Bujang.
Also in attendance were Deputy Premiers, Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas and his wife along with Datuk Seri Dr Sim Kui Hian and his wife.
The arrival of the premier and his wife at 8pm was followed by the arrival of the newlyweds shortly after.
At the reception, Abang Johari and his wife were invited to participate in the traditional ‘merenjis tepung tawar’ ceremony to bless the newlyweds.
Also invited to do likewise were the deputy premiers and their wives.
