MIRI: A 34-year-old woman was injured in a four-vehicle pile-up on the Miri Bypass yesterday (May 25).

The incident, which occurred around 6pm, prompted a swift response from the Miri Civil Defence Force (APM) following a distress call at 6.02 pm.

A team of four APM personnel was immediately dispatched to the scene to assess the situation and provide assistance.

“Upon arrival, the team discovered the injured woman by the roadside, with injuries to her right leg and face.

“The APM personnel administered first-aid to the woman before transferring her to Miri Hospital for further evaluation,” said an APM spokesman.

According to reports, the woman was driving behind one of the vehicles involved in the collision and was forced to make an emergency stop, resulting in a collision with the rear of that vehicle.

Fortunately, the drivers of the other three vehicles escaped unhurt.
