MUKAH: Two hundred bags of Hari Raya goodies were distributed to the road users at  the `RoadSide’ road campaign on yesterday morning

Besides the goodies, also included were road safety flyers, Hari Raya Aidilfitri greeting cards and other related items.

Staged at Dataran Pehin Setia Raja, here, the event was officiated at by a political secretary to the Chief Minister Faridah Osman, who represented Tellian State Assemblyman Yussibnosh Balo and  Balingian State Assemblyman,  Abdul Yakub Haji Arbi.

Among those present were Mukah Deputy Resident Jack Aman Luat; Dalat/Mukah District Council (MDDM) Walikota Haji Kadir Haji Jamil;  Temenggong Hendi Suhai;  Pemanca Haji Mohd Jali Kawi; heads of departments and local community leaders.

The programme  was organised by Mukah Division Road Safety Council in collaboration with Mukah Resident Office and other relevant government agencies.

In her speech at the function, Faridah cautioned the road users about the hot spot or accident prone areas in Mukah Division which were among the hot spots in the state.

She also advised the road users to always abide by the traffic rules and regulations while on the road and also told the residents to report to the authority or at least the neighbours if they want to leave their house unattended.

The campaign was held in conjunction with the forth-coming Hari Raya Aidilfitri  2017 which is just a week away.
